I have recently been diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff muscle - the tear is almost complete. I am a 46-year old male in good health. I am a regular surfer and occasional drummer.

It appears as though the only option left to me is surgery as I've tried osteo and physio treatment for the last 2 years. I was wondering what the success rate is with the arthroscopic procedure and if anyone is able to speak from experience in regard to the post-op recovery period.
