Physical Therapist
St. Petersburg/Tampa Florida Job Summary: Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy. Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for physical therapy assistants, rehab technicians, massage therapists, fitness specialists, and volunteers. A plus if licensed, but will consider license eligible. BS in related field required. Pay ranges from $22-$45/hr dependent upon experience. Flexible work schedules available. Specific Skills: Customer Service Organizational Skills Written and verbal communication Work independently with minimal supervision Teamwork Job Specific Functions: Patient Care: 1. Reviews the medical record. Performs an evaluation of the physical, psychosocial, and cognitive needs of the patient. 2. Determines a plan of treatment to maximize functional return to home and work-related activities of daily living for the patient and monitors response to treatment. 3. Provides an intervention based on patient needs, physical capabilities, cognition, age level and interests. 4. Provides education for patients, family, and significant others when appropriate. 5. Participate in team and family conferences when indicated. Patient Safety: 1. Verifies patient identification prior to providing services by checking the patient ID band. 2.
